A few of you already know that this year I have faced a serious medical situation. At first I did not take it too seriously and thought I could just grit my teeth and it would go away. Luckily the doctors in the public healthcare system here in Hong Kong were persistent and this lead to the discovery of something that would have eventually progressed into a very serious (as in terminal) situation. Hopefully, this is under control now.
In the middle of sorting this out, mentally and physically, I was approached by a young couple (Zahra and Stephen) who in addition to their daytime professional endeavors, run the CollapseLife website. They are both longtime Zero Hedge readers and followers of Visual Combat. They asked if I would be willing to do a podcast interview produced by the two of them. As you all know, I have no interest in self promotion. The last time I did an interview was about 10 years ago with the Bitcoin Tycoon, good old Max Keiser.
They caught me at the right moment. A time of deep reflection. So,I perused their work which is very professional and decided to go ahead. The following is Part 1 wherein I discuss my general approach as an artist. After we did this, I thought this was really too much about me and I wanted to focus on the message of the works themselves. That will be Part II, which is already taped. The interview was taped two mornings in Bangkok where I was relaxing prior to my operation early September. Sorry about the sunglasses. Biometrics, you know the thing.
Once again, I want to express my deep appreciation to the producer of this website and to all of you who have stuck with me all of these years, particularly those of you who found a way to support my work (it’s not work). And a big thank you to Zahra and Stephen!
