Aug. 9 (UPI) — The Republican National Committee announced on Wednesday that Fox Business will host the second presidential primary debate to be held on Sept. 27.
Fox Business will air the debate which will be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif.
“We are looking forward to continuing our fair, neutral and transparent primary process in Simi Valley to elect the next President of the United States,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel in a statement.
David Trulio, president and CEO of the Reagan Library, said the location would be ideal to host for the candidates to make their pitch to be the party’s presidential nominee.
“Given the challenges and opportunities facing our country, there is no better place for presidential contenders to make their case as they honor the man — Ronald Reagan — who rebuilt America’s military and economy, and changed the world,” Trulio said.
Fox Business follows in the footsteps of Fox News, which is broadcasting the first Republican primary presidential debate being held in Milwaukee on Aug. 23.
Univision, the largest provider of Spanish-language broadcast content in the United States, will also partner with the RNC for the debate.
“Our unprecedented partnership with the RNC and FOX Business will provide a unique platform for the Republican presidential candidates to address the issues facing millions of our viewers,” Maria Martinez-Guzman, executive vice president of network news for Univision, said.
“Hispanic voters will play a critical role in determining who will be the next president of the United States and Univision’s audiences will be well informed when they cast their ballot.”
The RNC said Rumble will stream the debate online exclusively. It is doing the same for the first debate later this month.
“We look forward to continuing to build an online home for debate, on a scale that we promise will remain free from censorship and Big Tech bias,” Rumble Chairman and CEO Chris Pavlovski said.
The RNC last week set the requirements for the second debate, saying that the candidates must have at least 50,000 unique donors to take part in the forum.
