NATO Killing Club Points Hypocritical Finger

Understanding the current geopolitical situation between the collective West and Russia is easy to grasp. Washington, London, Brussels, and Berlin are willing to sacrifice us all on the altar of greed. We all know of our utter worthlessness to the well-heeled, especially the ruling elites. Now, as President Joe Biden mulls (or drools with a blank stare) over green-lighting a clown dictator’s use of American and British long-range missiles to strike deep inside Russia, the multitudes are shocked! For many of us, however, the atomic clock will soon be at 1 second to midnight.

My first and most poignant astonishment is that citizens are not up in arms and screaming to prevent WW3. The second most fantastic point, but perhaps the most meaningful, is how Americans, Germans, or Brits seem incapable of seeing the hypocrisy and lies, the machinations. Thinking on this, I have a question for my schoolmates and chums back home in America. “How long do you think it would take us (we Americans) to get set to launch nukes at Mexico City or Lima, Peru, for that matter, if long-range missiles began levelling Houston or Tampa?” Furthermore, if Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, or even India supplied weapons, advisors, and satellite intel to Mexico or Havana (or anyone), all bets would be off, right?

Vladimir Putin

If we recall the events of 16-28 October 1962, President John F. Kennedy threatened to sink Russian ships carrying missiles to Castro in Cuba. The threat of nuclear war was imminent. I remember our next-door neighbours in Orlando, Florida, finishing stocking up their bomb shelter. Yes, people dug fortified basements and filled them with necessities back then. Remembering that time, I can tell you this. Had Russian missiles been fired by Cuba at the United States, the only Cubans left alive would be those living in Miami. The Soviet Union and NATO would undoubtedly have been at DEFCON 1.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden said, “Russia will not prevail. Ukraine will prevail. We stand with Ukraine, now and in the future,” during a comedian/dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy visit. Since my initial analysis of Washington's sanctioning of the potential long-range Storm Shadow (or ATACMS) strikes deep in Russian territory, President Putin has revised Russia’s 2020 protocols for the use of nuclear weapons during a televised meeting with Russia’s Security Council. The gist of the 2020 doctrine was that Russia could now use atomic weapons:

“[in] response to the use of nuclear and other types of weapons of mass destruction against it or its allies.”

This week, Mr. Putin addressed Russia’s Security Council in person and suggested that the country’s new situation suggests that Russia could use nuclear weapons even against a non-nuclear state – such as Ukraine – if nuclear-armed nations back it.” He went on to say that such a situation “fundamentally lowers the threshold for the use of atomic weapons.”

Now, here’s the clincher. If you read the U.S. Department of Defense’s 2022 nuclear deterrence and strategy policy, you’ll see that those in charge of the US have decided they can launch atomic weapons any time they like. No, really. Read the ambiguous wording (PDF). This citation from the National Defense Strategy Report is telling:

“As long as nuclear weapons exist, the fundamental role of U.S. nuclear weapons is to deter nuclear attack on the United States, our allies, and partners. The U.S. would only consider the use of nuclear weapons in extreme circumstances to defend the vital interests of the United States or its allies and partners.”

So, every Western media outlet in existence, all the force of the American deep state, the elites, academia, and the rumours now being spread at water coolers all over the NATO pact are based on Russia doing precisely what NATO’s boss already did two years ago. How’s that for a revelation? But I expect most Zero Hedge readers and authors to expect nothing less from our fearless leadership. “The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming,” and no wonder.
