This past week I released my most recent market update, talking about how names I’m watching this year performed — and letting readers know about a theme I want to invest in heading into 2025:
Trading The Shit Show: October 2024 Market Update
For the most part, things have gone as I predicted this year, with the exception of overall market indices declining. Gold is kicking ass, as I recently wrote about in my article, “Gold: Ride the Lightning”. Gold miners, one of my top picks for the year, were up almost 40% compared to the S&P, which was up about 23% at the time the update was released.
Furthermore, one of my favorite new stocks, Oklo (OKLO), which I pointed out just about eight weeks ago, is already up more than 150% since I brought it to the attention of my readers. Here’s how I’m handling these positions, a preview of some of my favorite ideas for 2025, and what I think about the market in general going forward.

Last week, friend of Fringe Finance Lawrence Lepard released his most recent investor letter. I think his letter this quarter - as gold and silver continue to break out and the economy gets closer to a breaking point - is a more important read now, than ever.
