An earthquake rocked the entire island of Taiwan early Wednesday, collapsing buildings in a southern city and sparking a tsunami warning for southern Japanese islands.
Video and images on social media showed buildings shaken off their foundations.
The U.S. Geological Survey put the quake at a 7.5 while Taiwan’s earthquake monitoring agency gave the magnitude as 7.2.
Figures regarding casualties have not been released.
