Aug. 10 (UPI) — Longtime Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could join Bayern Munich after the respective English Premier League and German Bundesliga soccer clubs agreed on transfer terms.
Sources told The Athletic, ESPN and the Guardian about the agreement, worth more than $110 million, Thursday morning. Kane must still agree to terms and decide to join Bayern Munich.
Kane, 30, made his senior career debut in 2011 with Spurs. He also spent loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City.
Kane scored 213 goals for Spurs in 320 Premier League appearances, the second-most in history. Alan Shearer is the Premier League’s all-time leading scorer, with 260 goals.
Kane, the England captain, also made 84 international appearances for the senior team.
Bayern will battle RB Leipzig in the German Supercup at 2:45 p.m. EDT Saturday in Munich. Spurs will face Brentford in their Premier League opener at 9 a.m. Sunday in Brentford.
