All eyes are on Monday’s trading and Japan’s market open Sunday night.
What a week in markets. Just about two weeks after I wrote an article called “We Are On The Edge”, discussing how, if I had to pick only one trade to put on at the time, it would have been getting long volatility, we saw serious signs of an economy deep in recession emerge in the macroeconomic data on Friday, as hiring slowed significantly and the unemployment rate jumped to 4.3%.
This, combined with tension in the middle east and an ugly overnight session in Japan Thursday night, caused U.S. stocks to plunge to end the week. I wrote about my thoughts on what’s taking place and where the market could go here: Can You Hear Me Now?
