Party Conventional Wisdom
Presidential election years in the US come with many traditions…among them party conventions. Candidates are formally nominated, the party adopts its policy platform, and key policymakers make speeches about their vision for the country. Naturally, investors wonder what can be learned that might impact how they navigate markets. But while information voters glean at conventions may help them decide how to cast their ballot, we think those who are focused on the investment implications of the election will learn a lot less.
