The Mets had a disappointing 2023 run
Buck Showalter announced Sunday – on the final day of the regular season – he will not return as the New York Mets’ manager.
Showalter, 67, became the Mets’ manager before the start of the 2022 season. The team went 101-61 in that year and made the playoffs but was eliminated early.
This season, the Mets are 74-86 failing to live up to the high expectations.
