Florida State QB Travis Hunter suffered what appears to be an extremely serious injury on Saturday night after being dragged to the ground by a hip drop tackle from a North Alabama defender.
Travis had to be carted off the field. The video is not for the faint of heart.

Medical staff immediately rushed onto the field to attend to Travis as silence swept over the crowd after seeing their star QB in obvious agony. Trainers put an air cast on Travis, and the QB acknowledged the crowd as he was driven off the field.
This is the second time this week that hip drop tackles have come under scrutiny. The first was on Thursday when Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson brought down Ravens tight end Mark Anderson with a similar move.
Just like with #Ravens TE Mark Andrews, who's lost for the season, it appears the 'Hip drop' tackle played a role in Jordan Travis' leg injury.

Should that tackle be banned for safety reasons?pic.twitter.com/GoFUAJNpaEpic.twitter.com/Ar57ZSvNAnhttps://t.co/bsMPYN43Zd
Anderson’s injury is believed to be potentially season-ending. No word has yet been released on the severity of Travis’ injury.
Florida State currently leads North Alabama 24-13 at halftime.
