Rome wasn't built in a day and whipping the GOP into proper shape is going to take time, but we're starting. Yes, the big story of the day might be Mike Johnson being a de facto Democrat speaker. But at the same time, establishment Republicans like Ken Buck and Mike Gallagher are retiring and fleeing the Party in droves. Getting into shape will take time, but the party is starting to trim away at that fat.
