Less than two weeks after the debut of Apple's Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, priced at nearly $4,000, Google search trends indicate a surge in searches for "Return Apple Vision."
Other related searches that are considered in "breakout" territory by Google include "return policy Apple Vision Pro," "Apple return policy," and "Vision Pro return policy."
In recent days, a number of X users have explained why they returned their Vision Pros.
"What a bummer of a day. Can't believe it, but I've returned the Vision Pro. Just too uncomfortable to wear and it's a strain on my eyes. It's clearly the future. It works like magic. But the physical tradeoffs are just not worth it for me right now. I'll be back for the next one, assuming they fix these comfort issues," Vox Media's Parker Ortolani said.

Entrepreneur Neil Patel listed some reasons why he returned the overpriced headset:
1. It's heavy… wearing it on your head, no matter which of the two straps you wear, it really is heavy.
2. It's hard on your eyes… if you ever wore glasses for the first time or contacts for the first time, you know what I am talking about. That's the same feeling with the Vision Pro.
3. It caused me to get a headache… every time I wore it I had a headache for a few hours.
4. Not enough apps… yes there may be a lot of "apps" as they claim, but most aren't that useful. It's missing a lot of necessities like Chrome and Grammarly if you are looking to use the device to get work done.
5. It's too bulky to travel with… I even bought the travel case and it's so big it can't even fit in a backpack. Not portable at all.
I bought the Apple Vision Pro and even though the technology is amazing… I returned it.

It is the future (and the hardware is great)…
So why did I return it?

Welp, initiated the return to @Apple of the Vision Pro we preordered, and received on release day. I really wanted to love it- I own and love every other Apple product. Sadly it just didn’t hit the mark for me.
Maybe in a couple generations.
"The passthrough quality is not that great," said another X user in a video breakdown of the headset.

Apple sold about 200,000 headsets during the first few weeks of availability. How many will be returned?
