Feb. 13 (UPI) — Usher is a married man.
The 45-year-old singer-songwriter married his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, at a wedding Sunday in Las Vegas following his performance at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.
Usher and Goicoechea married at Vegas Weddings, according to TMZ. Usher’s mom, Jonnetta Patton, served as witness, while Rev. Ronald Joseph Pokrywka officiated the ceremony.
“Congratulations to the Newlyweds! What a great game and Usher’s performance was phenomenal! We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife,” Vegas Weddings president Melody Willis-Williams said.
People said Usher and Goicoechea said their vows at Vegas Weddings’ Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel that can accommodate 30 guests.
“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” Usher’s rep said.
“They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
Usher and Goicoechea were first linked in 2019. The couple have two children together, daughter Sovereign Bo and son Sire Castrello, along with Usher’s sons Usher V and Naviyd Ely with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
Usher performed a 13-minute medley of his biggest hits during the Super Bowl halftime show and was joined by Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Lil’ Jon and Ludacris on stage.
The singer released his album Coming Home last week ahead of the Super Bowl and added 10 new dates to his Past Present Future tour Monday.
